Atlantic ocean that separates Europe from Africa and America, the second largest of the oceans. It occupies one-fifth of the Earth's surface.
Large vortex (clockwise in the northern Atlantic, counterclockwise in the South Atlantic) carrying significant amounts of heat from low to high latitudes and have a significant impact on climate around the Atlantic.

North Sea, the Atlantic randhav. North Sea is bounded to the south towards the English Channel and north of a line from Scotland, the Orkney and Shetland Islands and further east towards Norway. Skagerrak generally included in the North Sea, whose average depth is 94 m.

Baltic Sea, which bihav through the Kattegat and Skagerrak are connected to the North Sea and Atlantic Ocean. The average depth is just under 60 m. The salinity is much lower than in the Atlantic. Tide is only a few centimeters.

English Channel, the sound separating Britain from mainland Europe and is the southern route between the Atlantic and North Sea. Strait is about 600 km long. Tidal currents are strong. After the last ice age was the English Channel dry laid.

Bay of Biscay, Part of the Atlantic between Pointe du Raz in France's west coast and Cape Ortegal at the north coast of Spain.
